February 24, 2017 - Thank you to Cameron Ellis for his donation of $350 to our Family Preservation & Supported Independent Living Program in Dawson Creek.

October 25, 2016 - Thank you to "Red Dragon Martial Arts School", Feature Sponsor of the 2016 Haunted House. Students and their families raised $8,000 through their Board Break Challenge to sponsor this event. They will also be putting on  Dr. Tongue’s Workshop at the Haunted House!

September 6, 2016 – Thank you to "DGS Astro Paving" for the generous $3,000 donation. We will use these funds to support services for men who want to change unhealthy behaviours in relationships to prevent domestic abuse. We will also use the funds to provide counselling support to men who have been victims of trauma or abuse. 

August 8, 2016 - Thank you to "Winners and the Canadian Women's Foundation" for their donation of $1100 to our Meaope Transition House.

August 4, 2016 - Thank you to "North Peace Savings and Credit Union" for the generous donation that made it possible to re-do the flooring in our Family Place area.

August 3, 2016 - Thank you to "Spectra Energy" for your donation of $3000 to our Parent Child Mother Goose Program.

June 29, 2016 - Thank you to "Save On Foods" for donating hot dogs to our Youth Care Event.

April 23, 2016 - Thank you to "Red Dragon Martial Arts" for raising $8165 for Community Bridge programs.

December 18, 2015- Thank you to "VE Brandl Ltd Oilfield Construction"- for donating $1500 to our Meaope Transition House for women fleeing abuse. The donation Honors the Memory of Michael Vanderploeg.

November 11, 2015- Shell  sponsors the regional FamilyFriendlyCommunity.ca website for 2 years.  With Shell’s generosity the Success by Six/Children First coordinators  in Dawson Creek, Tumbler Ridge, Chetwynd and Fort Nelson will be able to continue updating the FamilyFriendlyCommunity.ca website, an important resource for families with young children in the region. The Family Friendly website is the “Go To” guide for community events, services and programs. Thanks again Shell!

October 26, 2015 – Once again the Fort St John Country Quilters Guild has donated quilts to our Meaope Transition House for women and their children fleeing abuse. Many hours went into creating these beautiful quilts that will warm the hearts of the women receiving them. Thank you.

October 26, 2015 - North Peace Savings and Credit Union has donated $15,500 for Community Bridge to have a needs assessment completed which will determine the future demand for transitional housing for women leaving abuse in the Fort St John area.  City Spaces Consulting Ltd from Victoria will analyze statistics from local shelters and interview stakeholders. They will also conduct a focus group with  women who are not able to secure, safe, appropriate housing to allow them and their children to transition into market housing. A final report would be expected early in 2016.

October 14, 2015- Shell  sponsors Community Bridge’s Daddy and Me  Program for 2 years.  With Shell’s generosity the Daddy and Me program will continue in Fort St John. In its 7th year, Daddy and Me is a much loved program. Dads, Grandpas or other male caregivers, bring their children 0-6 to events or activities hosted by local community groups or business’. The program promotes positive father involvement and strengthens the father child relationship with benefits the whole family. Thanks Shell!

October, 2015 - Big thanks to FINNING for their generous donation to the Baby’s Best Chance program. The donation included things like diapers, wipes, clothing, shoes and much more. These items will be greatly appreciated by the parents and families who access our program.

September 30, 2015- Community Bridge’s Mother Goose Program receives a grant of $22,000 from Children First. Funded by the Ministry for Children and Family Development - Children First regional initiatives support and promote the healthy growth and development of young children, birth to six years. Using a community development approach, local groups work together to assess, identify and plan for the unique needs of young children in their community.

August 31, 2015– Community Bridge’s  Nobody’s Perfect Parenting Program receives a grant of $7,000  from Success By Six. Success By 6 brings together partners from all sectors - provincial & municipal government, community and Aboriginal services, health, education, child care, recreation, libraries and more - to work together to create child and family friendly communities. Success By 6 BC is a partnership of United Ways, Credit Unions of BC, the BC Government through the Ministry of Children and Family Development (MCFD) and Aboriginal and community leaders.

August 6, 2015 - Thank you WINNERS and the  Canadian Women’s Foundation for their donation of $1901 to our Meaope Transition House.  The donation is part of the proceeds raised during the Canadian Women’s Foundation’s 11th Annual Campaign to End Violence against Women held throughout the month of May with their partner Winners. The campaign raised a national total of $2.2 million and has been donated to shelters for abused women and violence prevention programs across Canada. We are very thankful for this donation which will greatly benefit the women and children who use our services.

April 30, 2015 - For the second time, the Canadian Centre of Abuse Awareness has donated purses, clothing and other items to the Women’s Outreach program at the Community Bridge. We are very thankful for this generous donation, as women who have accessed our womens programs over past year have benefited from their donations. It is wonderful to be able to offer this to women in the community who have been affected by abuse and are looking for a fresh start. This year we look forward to continuing with this initiative, and thank the CCAA for their continued support.

April 21, 2015 - Thank you to SafetyDataNet for their donation of $500 to our Children Who Witness Abuse Program. Your generosity is much appreciated!

February 6, 2015 - Thank you! Dalco Instrument & Measurement Service for your generous donation of $400 for the Daddy and Me program. Daddy and Me gives kids 0-6 and their Dads and male caregivers opportunities to spend special time together while enjoying a variety of local activities.

February 3, 2015 -Thank you! – SAFEWAY –for generously providing snacks for our Daddy and Me Program where kids 0-6 and their Dads and male caregivers attend community sponsored activities together. 

January 23, 2015 – our Mother Goose and Daddy and Me Program receives a grant of $21,982 from Children First. Funded by the Ministry for Children and Family Development - Children First regional initiatives support and promote the healthy growth and development of young children, birth to six years. Using a community development approach, local groups work together to assess, identify and plan for the unique needs of young children in their community. - 

Dec 15/14 - Thanks to the hard work and caring of The Justice League – comprised of students from Dr. Kearney Middle School over 500 food items were donated to 5 families in need that are connected to Community Bridge

Oct 9/2014 -Thank you! – SAVE ON FOODS –for generously providing the snacks for our PARENT CONNECT Program for parents of teens and pre- teens. 

September 30, 2014 - North Peace Savings and Credit Union donates $10,000 to make it possible for 4 staff to attend the Ending the Violence Association of BC – Annual Training Forum: Increasing Safety for Women Experiencing Sexual and Domestic Violence in Vancouver this November. Community Bridge will also be able to purchase much needed resources to work with women, children and families. 

September 30,2014 - Alcan Chapter # 91 -Order of the Eastern Star – Worthy Matron, Sharon Hards – presented Karla Marsh - Executive Director of Community Bridge with a donation of $400 for the Meaope Transition house for women and children fleeing abuse and women at risk due to homelessness.

Sept 15, 2014 - The North Peace Literacy Alliance "Raise a Reader" Campaing donated $1,538 in books to the Baby's Best Chance Program. Thank you!!

Sept 3, 2014 -The Canadian Women’s Foundation donated $1,733 to our Meaope Transition House in Fort St John, as part of their 10th Annual Campaign to End Violence Against Women. Working with their partners – WINNERS/HomeSense and Rogers Media – the funds were raised through the sale of Shop for Hope special merchandise and decal sales.
