ASIST Suicide Prevention Training- September 2018

What is ASIST?

ASIST – Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training – teaches you to identify people having thoughts of suicide and who may be at risk

Someone thinking about suicide may not ask for help, but that doesn’t mean you can’t help.  Most people thinking of suicide just want the pain to stop.  Talking openly about suicide can help save a life.

Anyone can learn these skills, including:

First responders

HR Professionals

Elders and spiritual leaders

Community service providers

Teachers, professors, and coaches

Life skills, shelter, and health field workers.

Course will be held on September 25th & 26th (Tues-Wed) at Community Bridge,

10142 101st Ave Fort St John

8:30am-4:30pm Lunch Provided

Registration Fee: $40.00

To registar please contact Amanda at 250-785-6021 ext. 242 or email SRadmin@communitybridge.ca
