Youth Justice Act Program

Who Is This Program For?

This program provides counselling to young offenders who have become involved in the legal system.

What Services Are Provided?

  • Individual/group counselling may include:
  • Family and peer relationships.
  • Social skills.
  • Self-esteem.
  • Anger management.
  • Exploration of cycle of offending behaviours.
  • Setting up a relapse prevention plan.
  • Consultation for parents of children with sexually intrusive behavior.

Who Can Access the Program?

  • Youths can be referred through the Dawson Creek and Fort St. John Probation offices.
  • Youths may self-refer if they are on a Youth Probation Order or an Alternative Measures Agreement.
  • Youth Forensic Psychiatric Services.
