Baby’s Best Chance Pregnancy Outreach

The Baby’s Best Chance Pregnancy Outreach Program is a province-wide program that provides services for pregnant women and teens with lifestyle challenges or at risk of having low birth weight babies. Services are offered in Fort St. John, Dawson Creek, and Chetwynd. See posters below for current times in Chetwynd and Fort St John.

PROGRAM FOCUS

  • A program that will meet your individual needs.
  • Peer support and a relaxed place to ask questions.
  • Nutritional and health counselling.
  • Free milk, juice and vitamins and infant supplies.
  • Counselling and referrals.
  • Weekly get together with lunch, drop-ins and classes.
  • Social activities and crafts.
  • Guest speakers.
  • After-delivery follow-up and support for six months.
  • We will also help you get other services you need.

WE WILL HELP YOU TO:

  • Learn about pregnancy                              
  • Make healthy food choices
  • Cut back on smoking                                      
  • Stop using alcohol and drugs                      
  • Prepare for the birth of your baby
  • Prepare to breastfeed your baby                  
  • Learn about your baby
  • Adjust to parenthood
