PEACE Program for Children and Youth Experiencing Violence

The PEACE Program for Children and Youth Experiencing Violence program provides individual and group counselling for children 3 – 18 years of age who have experienced or witnessed violence, threats, or abuse in the home.

  • Children are assisted in understanding their feelings, developing personal self-esteem, and learning to manage their anger.
  • Children learn about violence and abuse issues through education, art, and play activities suitable to their age.
  • Parents who are survivors of abuse are provided with information about the services and referred to support groups and individual counselling sessions.
  • We also provide referrals to other agencies and services.

For further information about this service, or to access the program, please contact the PEACE Counsellor at 250-785-6021 Ext 236 or email
