Meaope Transition House

The Meaope Transition House program provides safe shelter, meals, and short-term support to women and their children who are experiencing family violence, personal crisis, or who are at risk due to homelessness.

PROGRAM FOCUS

  • Women will be assisted in developing a transition plan to set goals for their future.
  • Women will have opportunities to learn that abuse can be physical, emotional, or verbal, or when they are threatened or harmed physically, emotionally, mentally, or financially by another individual – this includes sexual abuse and sexual assault.
  • Women may choose to be referred to the Victim Services, Women’s Outreach, Women’s Counselling, and Children Who Witness programs as well as other services and supports in the community.
