Sexual Abuse Intervention

The Sexual Abuse Intervention Program provides services to children and youth who have been victims of sexual abuse.

PROGRAM FOCUS

  • Providing appropriate treatment and support for children and youth who have been sexually abused to reduce the likelihood of adverse long-term consequences of sexual abuse trauma.
  • We provide treatment for children under the age of 12 with sexually intrusive behaviours.
  • Managing or reducing problematic behaviours.
  • Assisting non-offending family members to support children and youth who have experienced sexual abuse.
  • Educating the public on the prevention and early detection of child sexual abuse.
  • We also provide referrals to other agencies and services.
