Position:  STOP Clinical Counsellor (Stop Taking it Out on your Parter)

Casual Position - 1 male counsellor, to co-facilitate a group for men and a group for their partners

Location:  Fort St. John

Qualifications:  Master's Degree in a related human/social services field.  Two (2) years recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Duties:  Co-facilitates group counselling for men who use violence, physical, psychological and/or sexual, or controlling behaviors within their intimate relationships and co-facilitates a group for the men's partners.  Has a feminist and trauma based perspective.  Maintains case notes, client records, forms and statistical information.  Ability to operate a PC and related software.

Other Job Information:  This job will require evening and or weekend hours. 

Vehicle Use:  You must have a valid driver's license.

Hours of Work:  88 hours per facilitator over approximately 16 weeks.

Hourly Rate:  $26.75 to $31.16 according to experience

Position:  Domestic Violence Intervention Counsellor - Part Time Permanent

Location:  Fort St. John, Fort Nelson and areas and Aboriginal Communities

Qualifications:  Bachelor's Degree in Counselling Psychology, Social Work or related Degree.  Specialized training and experience in delivering trauma informed counselling would be an asset.  Two (2) years recent related experience.  Must have excellent communication skills both verbal and written.  Experience working with Aboriginal communities is preferred.

Duties:  Provides one to one interventions to non-adjudicated perpetrators of domestic violence, their partners and children.  Co-facilitates group counselling for perpetrators who use violence, physical, psychological and/or sexual, or controlling behaviors within their intimate relationships and co-facilitates a group for the partners.  Provides risk assessments, recommendations and safety planning support regarding the family to assist MCFD in case planning.  Serves as a collaborative member of the Integrated Case Assessment Team in highest risk cases.  Has a feminist and trauma based perspective.  Maintains case notes, client records, forms, statistical information and reports as required.

Other Job Information:  Must be prepared to have flexible hours to accommodate travel, evening and weekend sessions.  Some travel to the communities may be required. You must have a valid driver's license.

Vehicle Use:  This position requires that you use your personal vehicle for travel in the region as needed.  Mileage to be reimbursed.

Hours of Work:  17.5 hours per week

Hourly Rate:  $26.75 to $31.16 according to experience.

Position:  Sexual Abuse Intervention Counsellor - Part Time Regular

Location:  Fort St. John

Qualifiications:  Bachelor's degree in a related field, plus 2 years' recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.  The "Graduate Certificate in Complex Trauma and Child Sexual Abuse Intervention" from the Justice Institute would be an asset.

Duties:  Provides specialized counselling services to children and adolescents who have been sexually abused and their families.  Also provides services to children under 12 who have sexual behaviour problems.  Consultation and education will also be provided on an as needed basis.

Hours of Work:  17.5 hours per week

Hourly Rate:  $26.75 to $31.16 according to experience.

Position:  Clinical Manager - Permanent Full Time - Excluded Position

Qualifications:  Master's Degree in a related social service field.  Two years (2) experience working with children, youth, family and family violence serving programs.  Experience in an accredited agency an asset.  Two (2) year's supervisory experience an asset.

Duties:  To plan and direct services for Community Bridge Program as part of the management team.  Participates in the hiring of program staff.  Orients, supervises, and evaluates staff.  Assures that programs meet accreditation and WorkSafe standards.  Particiaptes in the assessment and resolution of operational issues and in the development and implementation of startegic plans.  Responsible for day to day program operations and monitoring staff expenditures.  Responsible, as part of the managment team to oversee the overall operations in the Executive Director's absence.

Other Job Information:  Ability to operate a PC and related software.  Must have valid driver's license.

Hours:  40 hours per week.

Hourly Rate:  Depending on experience - Full benefits package - dental, medical and pension.
