Duties:  Plans and co-facilitates Parent-Child Mother Goose Program.  Plans group sessions in accordance with the program manual and the participants' skills and needs.

Vehicle Use: Access to a reliable vehicle is preferred.

Rate of Pay: $17.79 - $20.72 per hour depending on experience

Position:  Clinical Manager - Permanent Full Time - Excluded Position

Qualifications:  Master's Degree in a related social service field.  Two years (2) experience working with children, youth, family and family violence serving programs.  Experience in an accredited agency an asset.  Two (2) year's supervisory experience an asset.

Duties:  To plan and direct services for Community Bridge Program as part of the management team.  Participates in the hiring of program staff.  Orients, supervises, and evaluates staff.  Assures that programs meet accreditation and WorkSafe standards.  Particiaptes in the assessment and resolution of operational issues and in the development and implementation of startegic plans.  Responsible for day to day program operations and monitoring staff expenditures.  Responsible, as part of the managment team to oversee the overall operations in the Executive Director's absence.

Other Job Information:  Ability to operate a PC and related software.  Must have valid driver's license.

Hours:  40 hours per week.

Hourly Rate:  Depending on experience - Full benefits package - dental, medical and pension.

Location:  Fort St. John

Qualifications:  Diploma in a related human/social service field.  One (1) year recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education training and experience.

Duties:  Provides positive interactions and role modelling through facilitated group and individual youth centered activities to develop social and emotional life skills for MCFD referred youth.  Provides skill building in areas of making responsible choices, accepting responsibility, anger management, goal setting, personal safety etc.  Develops individual plans to address unique needs.  Integrates youth into other community services and recreational activities.

Other Job Information:  Participate in physical activities/sports with youth.  Work may not always be done within normal working hours, depending on the client's needs.  Some evening work is likely.

Hours of Work: 12 hours per week

Vehicle Use:  Transports youth when required.  Must have a valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle.  Annual vehicle inspections are required at employer's cost.

Qualifications:  Bachelor's degree in a related human/social service field.  Two (2) years recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education training and experience.

Duties:  Provides support, guidance and counselling to families and children and youth deemed to be at risk by the Ministry of Children and Family Development.  Addresses issues related to family/individual functioning.  Provides skill building in areas of parenting skills, anger manangement, or self management techniques.  Provides case management services when required.

Hours of Work:  26.25 hours per week.

Duties:  Promotes positive health practices that will contribute to the health of newborns through outreach, education and support to at risk perinatal women and teens.  Knowledge of First Nations and Metis traditions an asset.  Skills in counselling, group facilitation and co-ordination are assets.

Position - Domestic Violence Intervention Counsellor - Part Time Permanent

Location:  Fort St. John, Fort Nelson and areas and Aboriginal Communities

Qualifications:  Master's Degree in a Counselling Psychology, Social Work, or related Degree.  Eligibility for registration.  Specialized training and experience in delivering trauma informed counselling.  Two (2) years recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.  Must have excellent communication skills both verbal and written.  Experience working with Aboriginal communities is preferred.

Duties:  Provides one-to-one theraputic interventions to non-adjudicated perpetrators of domestic violence.  Co-facilitates group counselling for perpetrators who use violence, physical, psychological and/or sexual, or controlling behaviors within their intimate relationships and co-facilitates a group for the partners.  Provides risk assessments, recommendations and safety planning support regarding the family to assist MCFD in case planning.  Serves as a collaborative member of the Integrated Case Assessment Team in highest risk cases.  Has a feminist and trauma based perspective.  Maintains case notes, client records, forms, statistical information and reports as required.

Other Job Information:  Must be prepared to have flexible hours to accommodate travel, evening or weekend sessions.  Some travel to the communities may be required.

Hours of Work:  15 hours per week.

Vehicle Use:  You must have a valid driver's license. This position requires that you use your personal vehicle for travel in the region as needed.  Milage to be reimbursed. 

Hourly Rate:  $29.91 - $34.88 according to experience, full benefits and pension upon completion of probation.

Position: Sexual Abuse Intervention Counsellor - Permanent Part Time

Location: Fort St. John

Qualifications:  Master's degree in a related field, plus 2 years' recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.  The "Graduate Certificate in Complex Trauma and Child Sexual Abuse Intervention" from the Justice Institute would be an asset

Duties:  Provides specialized assessment and treatment services to children and adolescents who have been sexually abused and their families.  Also provides services to children under 12 who have sexual behaviour problems.  Consultation and education will also be provided on an as needed basis.

Position:  Teaching Home Support Worker - Full Time Permanent

Location:  Dawson Creek, Chetwynd, Tumbler Ridge

Qualifications:  Diploma in a related human/social service field.  One (1) year recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education training and experience.

Duties:  Provide teaching and assistance for activities such as cooking, grooming, money management, shopping and laundry to families referred by the Ministry of Children and Family Development.   Does cleaning, extensive cleaning and disposal, major clean-up of the home interior including moving furniture and oven cleaning.  Assists families to function more independantly in their own homes through the teaching of daily life skills.  Participates in the development of service plans, provides progress notes and other required documentation.  Liaises with other community agencies as needed.

Other Job Information:  Work may not always be done within normal working hours, depending on the client's needs.  Evening and weekend work may be required.  May provide transportation for clients.

Hours of Work:  35 hours per week.

Vehicle Use:  You must have a valid BC driver's license, and a reliable vehicle.  Annual vehicle inspections are required.

Hourly Rate:  $17.47 - $20.34 depending on experience.  Full benefits including pension after successful probation.
