Family Advancement

The Family Advancement program provides counselling and support for school aged children and adolescents with grief, behaviour, relationship, communication, and anger difficulties.  Families are provided with parenting supports to understand the social, behavioural, and developmental needs of their children so they can maintain a healthy and supportive family environment. Referrals to other agencies and services are also provided when needed.

Through the use of age appropriate activities and resources children and youth might work on any of the following identified concerns:

  • Behaviour problems
  • Grief and loss issues
  • Relationship problems with friends and/or family
  • Communication skills
  • Anger management.
  • Parent teen conflict
