PROGRAM: Community Based Victim Services

LOCATION: Fort St John

Hours of Work: 35

Qualifications

Diploma in a related human/social service field. Two (2) years recent related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Duties

Ability to provide emotional support, practical assistance, information and referrals to clients who have been victims of crime. Provides court support services such as explaining court processes, trial procedures. Provides accompaniment and/ or transportation to court, police, and medical appointments as needed. Maintain case notes, forms and statistical information. Ability to operate a PC and related software.

This job may require flexibility to meet individual and agency demand. This position is temporary until the return of incumbent.

Vehicle Use

You must have a valid BC Class 5 driver’s license and a reliable vehicle.

Hourly Rate

$27.54 - $31.61

This is a unionized position with the BCGEU.
