Youth Justice Act Program
Location: Fort St. John
Who Is This Program For?
This program provides counselling to young offenders who have become involved in the legal system.
What Services Are Provided?
- Individual/group counselling may include:
- Family and peer relationships.
- Social skills.
- Self-esteem.
- Anger management.
- Exploration of cycle of offending behaviours.
- Setting up a relapse prevention plan.
- Consultation for parents of children with sexually intrusive behavior.
Who Can Access the Program?
- Youths can be referred through the Dawson Creek and Fort St. John Probation offices.
- Youths may self-refer if they are on a Youth Probation Order or an Alternative Measures Agreement.
- Youth Forensic Psychiatric Services.
